Lodging Enterprises, LLC is a specialized hotel management and operating company that provides lodging services to employees of the nation’s top railroad operators including Union Pacific, BNSF and CSX. The company owns and operates more than 30 lodging facilities in 19 states and currently manages approximately 2,500 rooms while employing a staff of more than 1,000 full and part-time hospitality professionals.

Strategically located near railroad hubs and switching terminals, the majority of hotels are operated under the company’s proprietary Oak Tree Inn brand name. The hotels provide convenient lodging services customized to to meet the high demands of railroad employees, and accommodates the casual or business traveler as well. In 23 locations, the properties are complemented by an adjacent diner. The diners provide hotel guests and the general public with a fast, fun, reasonably priced place to enjoy ‘50s style dining. Each Penny’s Diner features a broad menu from breakfast to burgers to home-cooked dinners 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A Proven Management Approach

Lodging Enterprises, LLC’s corporate level functions are performed in Wichita, Kansas. The company’s hotels are segregated into regions, each having a regional manager to direct operations.

Individual hotels are run by an on-site general manager who oversees the hotel’s business operations including hiring, training and supervising of hotel personnel. Nearly all of the general managers were promoted to their positions after rising through Lodging Enterprises’ ranks. The majority of them have been in their current positions for five years or more.
